Spreading Holiday Cheer Across Our Communities

The holiday season is a time for generosity, togetherness, and giving back—and this year, First State Bank Nebraska branches truly embraced that spirit.

Across our footprint, branches teamed up within their local communities to spread Christmas cheer by supporting families in need. Each branch selected an organization in their area to partner with and had the opportunity to adopt a family for the holidays. Using Christmas wish lists, employees worked together to shop for meaningful gifts that helped make the season brighter for individuals and families. In total, we invested more than $5,000 in gifts and support for families across our communities.

Many branches partnered with local schools to identify families in need, while others utilized giving trees through churches and living centers. Several branches also worked closely with BraveBe Child Advocacy Center, which helped match families with branches located in the same community. These partnerships ensured that support stayed local and directly benefited neighbors right where our employees live and work.

Throughout the process, branches came together to shop for gifts, strengthening teamwork while sharing in the joy of giving. Some branches wrapped their presents and delivered them directly to their chosen organizations. Branches partnering with BraveBe dropped off unwrapped gifts at BraveBe locations in Beatrice and Lincoln. Our Executive Team gathered at the BraveBe Lincoln location to spend time together wrapping gifts for families.

This holiday giving initiative was a wonderful reminder of what can happen when we come together as a team with a shared purpose. Helping families in need during the holiday season is one of the ways we help support and strengthen the communities we serve.
