Supreme Basketball

Celebrating local roots, growing together.

At Supreme Basketball, the mission is clear: to develop young athletes both on and off the court.

Founded in Lincoln, Nebraska, Supreme Basketball started with skills camps and clinics before expanding into select teams, leagues, and elite tournaments. Co-founders Matt Cumro and Brian Willet, both Nebraska natives, are passionate about fostering fundamental skills and lifelong confidence in players from Pre-K through 12th grade. Their dedication to the community goes beyond basketball—it’s about instilling values of hard work, perseverance, and doing the right thing.

With rapid growth exceeding their original plans, Supreme Basketball has evolved into a premier youth sports organization, requiring more leadership and resources to meet increasing demand. Throughout their journey, First State Bank Nebraska has been a steadfast financial partner, offering personal service and tailored solutions. From opening accounts to providing lines of credit and financing strategic acquisitions, First State has been there every step of the way, ensuring Supreme Basketball has the support it needs to thrive.

“First State Bank Nebraska has risen to the occasion each time we needed them,” says Willet and Cumro. “Having that personal relationship and support gives us exactly what we are looking for out of a banking relationship.”

Tanner Smith, a Loan Officer at First State Bank Nebraska, shares his experience working with Supreme Basketball: “Brian, Matt, and the collective team they’ve assembled stand out in many positive ways. They’re a pioneer in the youth sports industry and have strategically created one of the largest programs in the country from the ground up. In doing so, they have exemplified excellent leadership, attention to detail, proactiveness, willingness to adapt, and integrity.”

First State Bank Nebraska takes pride in backing small businesses like Supreme Basketball, recognizing their significant impact on the community. Through job creation, youth mentorship, and athletic development, Supreme Basketball isn’t just shaping better athletes—it’s shaping future leaders.

For those considering starting their own business, the advice from Supreme Basketball is simple but powerful: “Count the cost.” Success requires more than financial planning; it demands resilience, adaptability, and a deep commitment to the journey ahead.

As Supreme Basketball continues to grow, the future is bright. With a strong foundation, a dedicated team, and the support of First State Bank Nebraska, they are poised to keep making a lasting difference in the lives of young athletes for years to come.
