Celebrating Financial Literacy Month: Teach Kids to Save 2025
Throughout the month of April, in celebration of Financial Literacy Month, our branches proudly participated in our annual Teach Kids to Save program. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to community engagement and educating young minds on the importance of saving and financial responsibility.
This year, our dedicated team members visited over a dozen schools across our regions, delivering around 20 presentations to 520 enthusiastic third graders. Armed with interactive handouts, engaging financial literacy materials, and the excitement of receiving their very own First State piggy banks, we made the experience both educational and fun for the students.
We believe that financial education is a cornerstone of lifelong financial well-being. By introducing children to the basics of saving, we aim to instill habits that will serve them well into adulthood. Our team members shared practical tips, real-world examples, and interactive discussions to help students understand the value of money, the importance of saving, and how to set financial goals.
At First State Bank Nebraska, we are honored to play a part in shaping the financial futures of our community's youth. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to connect with students, teachers, and families, building stronger ties with our communities through financial education.
